When I was growing up as a closeted gay boy in the Korean church, I struggled to find a platform through which to properly realize my identify. As a #lgbtq person I didn’t have any #representation. It was still #AOL dial up and the #razorphone The only platform I knew of in my extremely insular Korean church community life was #OUT. Sooo I would secretly read #outmagazine any chance I got. Those brief moments in 7-Eleven and Walgreens were my favorite. Never in my wildest dreams would I have ever imagined that’d be in it one day. It still hasn’t really hit me yet, and I am beyond humbled.

I’ve come a long way since being NEXTed within the first 22mins, on the #MTV dating show NEXT when I was 18!! The line they made me say was, “Hi, my name is e.t. and e.t. phone homo”.

I turned 30yrs old in 2018 and what a privilege it is to start my journey off being on the #OUT100 .
